Rechlerich Tasting Notes:

Nose : Intense sweet sherry nose, dried fruits, caramel, fine chocolate with slightly roasted wallnuts. Bananas with rum roasted on a BBQ served with the best belgian chocolate sauce and sprinkled with fine nuts. All elegantly sweet and with nice depth. Still very alive for its age. Bitter-sweet coffee with a touch of vanilla, coffee bonbons, and dates. Develops to wet rubber and sweet soya sauce. Great nose (23 points)

Taste : Attacking, mouthfilling and slightly nervous taste, at first dry and harsh with a good bitterness, then beyond these first tannins develops the sweetness again, the sweet deep sherry taste with with a strong bitter-sweet expresso coffee taste and this goes on and on. Brings some Java cake in the end. Perfect for dessert (22)

Finish : Good and medium long finish with melted chocolate, and endless sweet and deep. (22)

Balance/complexity : A very rewarding whisky. A good sherry-monster, still very alive at 40yo and definitely not a swimmer! (22)
